Over the past two decades, Josie’s career in the outdoor industry has included guiding and personal climbing expeditions around the globe, working on the Yosemite Search & Rescue team and teaching wilderness medicine. Stress exposure throughout this career gave her personal insight into the value of resilience training. Her experience sparked curiosity to learn more about the psychology and neuroscience of stress and to help others through similar experiences. She now works as Member Success Coordinator at Responder Alliance, supporting responders and outdoor professionals through training, resources and community connection. She also serves on the Lander Wyoming Search & Rescue resilience team and provides mental training for rock climbers. She looks forward to presenting at WRMC, in hopes that sharing her story will offer guidance for attendees on the path to resilience.
